Saint Patrick’s Day is the celebration in memory of Saint Patrick (385-461 AD), the foremost Patron Saint of Ireland. The day commemorates the arrival of Christianity in Ireland and celebrates Ireland's heritage and culture.


Today, millions of people from around the world celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day. The day is celebrated by eating Irish customary foods, dressing up in green and drinking a couple of pints.
